I’ve started off by providing a *certified BOP* by the lovely Kelly Clarkson. I wanted to put this song here because it is just one example of this rhetoric that is common in our society. Her chorus sings: “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Stand a little taller. Doesn’t mean I’m lonely when I’m alone. What doesn’t kill you makes a fighter. Footsteps even lighter.” Kelly Clarkson wasn’t the origin of the phrase.
